8-2-20 Frostfall in Phandalin
What in the Nine Hells?!
Berúthiel and I made our way to Phandalin early last night to find a f-cking WHITE DRAGON aloft in the sky! I was at a loss: what could this be about?
...And that...shite-kicking halfling is the one My Lady trusts with her graces??
Perrin Aldarleaf by name. (Ungrateful bastard!) He tried to blow me off without so much as a thankyouverymuch! That is...until I called him a coward. That struck a nerve it seemed. But to think, he wouldn't even swear or anything at first. Out of avarice? Resorted to holding him in place magically to force something, anything to transpire, I did!
Then there was his armored dwarf friend...there's an interesting one. Dropped his knickers, he did! To be fair, I asked him to break my concentration, but for the love of the gods...a little forward for a first date, innit?
And I'm left pondering, are these men heroes?
They certainly think themselves so. Still, Sheriff Hallwinter intervened in due time, and mentioned my quest for Iarno. That seemed to settle things down; nothing like a common cause...common foe?...to serve to unite disparate parties such as ourselves. I did manage to capture an oath from Perrin after all to work to bring Iarno in together. But first we have some business of consecrating a shrine at Cragmaw?
Oh and I swore to borrow his mace--Lightbringer by name. Not my weapon of choice, but there's more to life than swordplay--namely busting caps! (Didn't expect my eyes to start shedding tears of blood, though! The Grandmistress of Strategy certainly works in...mysterious ways.)
I'm not sure why she brought me to this...lot. Am I to whip them into shape? Lead by example?
O Red Knight, grant me the strength...or perhaps more importantly, the patience!

First impressions aside, that dwarf at least seems powerful. Along with a man-at-arms, he managed to save a good many lives of townfolk brought low by the dragon. And he seemed to intimate that he is of a similar martial prowess to me, despite his...bizarre...antics.

I've been invitied to meet the party in the morning at Aldarleaf Farm. (I hope they have bacon!) There's an elf mage I've yet to meet, and it seems we'll set out for Cragmaw on the morrow.
Time to see to Berúthiel again.
